To clarify our Nov 29, 2001 notice (below) regarding weekend closure of Rt. 29 in the vicinity of the Turnpike Bridge, we have received a clarification to the effect that the road will not be closed every weekend for 20 weekends, but only on selected weekends. In fact, after this weekend, most closures will take place in the spring.

CAC Slip-Ramp Meeting December 20 - From John Martin
The next meeting of the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC)for the proposed Route 29 slip ramp is scheduled for Thursday, December 20 from 7 pm to 9 pm in the Terrace Room at the Desmond Hotel. The CAC is composed of representatives from the townships, school boards, business community and County agencies in the Great Valley Corporate Center area Members of the public are invited to attend but may not ask questions during the meeting - similar to "work sessions" of government agencies. However - based on past sessions - the public may be able to question the presenters after the meeting on an informal basis.
The agenda for the meeting includes: Report on outcome of the re-run of the traffic model; Discussion of these traffic model results and Plan for getting feedback from the community organizations regarding traffic model results. The last CAC meeting was in March and the delay was due to the work necessary to re-run traffic models. This should be one of the more interesting CAC meetings. CAC has met periodically since October 1999 and the meetings will soon end and the Turnpike will make a recommendation on the Slip-ramp.
