Roadmaster Report to the Board of Supervisors

December 2, 2002

November 27th brought the first snowfall of the season. The first road truck went into service at 0345 and the second an hour later. There were no reported snow-related problems.
Also on the 27th, a fallen tree, completely blocking Lincoln Road, was cleared from the roadway by the tree contractor. The road was reopened at 1100.
The road contractor has cleaned storm water inlets, outlets and cross pipes on Three Ponds Lane, Hilltop Road, Benburb Road, Merion Road, Jamie Lane, Blackberry Lane, Oak Lane, Maryhill Road, Pine Drive, Raven Hill Road, Southwinds Lane, Great Woods Lane, Primrose Lane, Rosewood Lane, Bodine Road, Green Lane Road, Wells Road, Howell Road, and Tinker Hill Lane. Weeds were mowed on various township roads. A large pothole was repaired on Township Line Road.
Intersection improvements continue at Charlestown Road and Phoenixville Pike with the replacement traffic light going into service on November 29th. Other intersections being upgraded are Morehall and Whitehorse Roads, Morehall and Yellow Springs Roads and Warner Lane and Phoenixville Pike.
I am checking all township roads for any deficiencies or necessary improvements.
