Fire Marshal Report to the Board of Supervisors

March 1, 1999

During the month of February, the Kimberton Fire Company responded to: four automatic fire alarms and one automatic Carbon Monoxide alarm. I have not as yet received the East Whiteland Fire Company report. Additionally, I took the Hazardous Materials Operations Refresher Course, attended "The Crash of United Flight 232" seminar and held a training/ meeting with the staff of the Emergency Operations Center.

The alarms were as follow:

  • Merlin Road
  • Yellow Springs Road
  • Jeffords Court
  • Loudoun Place
  • Ravenhill Road

Precipitation for February was normal which still leaves a 7" deficit with over the last 14 months. Still, the lack of any snow cover may be a concern in the spring. The burning ban for the township remains in effect.

Respectfully submitted,

Frederick C. Alston

Fire Marshal
