Charlestown Historical Society
2006 Patrons' Dinner
Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 5:30PM
The Charlestown Historical Society Patrons Dinner and Fundraising Party will be held on October 21 in the Historical Barn at the Great Valley Nature Center. In place of an auction, this years' theme, "A Little Las Vegas" allows us to try our luck at Texas Holdem Poker, Black Jack and Roulette. The 3 people with the most game money at the end of the evening will win wonderful prizes. First prize is a new, high definition, color TV. Professional dealers will be on hand to provide lessons for those of us without experience.
The event will begin at 5:30PM with hordourves and beverages followed by a fabulous dinner by Gourmet Buffets by Anthony Aquilante. Ticket price is $60.00 each which includes food, wine, beer and soft drinks, desserts, coffee, tea and the works along with $25.00 to get you started at the tables. Additional game money can be purchased in increments of $1,000.00 for a cost of $100.00.
We will raffle off our traditional basket of cheer along with other items as well as door prizes throughout the evening.
This event is CHS's only fundraiser each year and the proceeds are depended greatly on to help the Society with the costs to maintain the Stinson Markley house on Union Hill Rd. and the Rapp house on Yellow Springs Rd., both of which were donated to the Society.
We know this event will be great fun. Please plan to come to support our cause and bring friends.
Anyone wishing to donate raffle or door prize items or wishing to be on our event committee should contact Ellen Behrle at 610-935-2802 after 7PM or on the weekends or by email at ebehrle@aol.com.
