These photos were taken Saturday, March 9, 2002 while Phoenixville Pike was closed under the Turnpike Bridge.
Driving rivets through the flange on this side, the corresponding hole in the girder, and the flange on the other side . A man on the other side is doing the same thing on another hole.
Tidying up. The two telescoping lifts support men installing cross braces (some visible on the ground) between adjacent girders. The men are also visible working on the riveting at the butt joint.
