A beautiful part of southeastern Pennsylvania
Removing Trees From the Ice Dam
Kevin Kuhn sent in these May 10, 2002 photos of Barrett's Tree Service removing some trees from the remaining walls of the old Ice Dam adjacent to the new bridge being built where Pickering Creek flows under Rt. 29.
This job will help preserve the dam walls, open up the area and provide a better view of the historic dam. The photos below show a Barrett employee attaching a cable to a tree and the lifting of the tree, and also show Supervisor Paul Hogan and a view of the nearly completed bridge.
