The Horse-Shoe Trail

The Horse-Shoe Trail is a 140-mile hiking and equestrian trail that runs from Valley Forge to the Appalachian Trail in southeastern Pennsylvania. The trail passes through Charlestown Township and is maintained by members of the Township Parks and Recreation Commission.
The following links provide more information regarding the Horse-Shoe Trail. Sue Staas' article in the Winter 2006 issue of the Charlestown Township Newsletter is a good place to start if you know nothing about the trail. Many thanks to Peter Hall for preparing the map of the trail through our township.
