Charlestown Great Valley Students Excel
at Cross Country Events

 The following Charlestown Township residents qualified and ran at the National AAU Cross Country Championships at Rock Hill, South Carolina on Saturday, December 3, 2005.

Medals are awarded to the top 25 finishers in each group.
Cara Baskin placed 25th in the 15-16 year old age group to earn a medal.
Hana Baskin earned a 3rd place team medal running for the "Berks County All-Star Striders". Hana, along with two teammates from Great Valley High School and two other runners from Exeter High School in Berks County joined forces to form a team. The girls placed 3rd as a team at the AAU National Meet in the 17-18 year old race.
Great Valley Alumni in Cross Country -
Former Great Valley runner and Charlestowns resident Jonathan Hughes is a freshman runner on the Shippensburg University Cross Country Team. Jonathan has been a varsity runner for Shippensburg as a freshman. The Shippensburg team qualified this year to run as a team at the Division II National Meet at Pomona, California, and Jonathan was one of the runners on the squad.
