A beautiful part of southeastern Pennsylvania
Barn (now garage) on Merlin Road 1944, 1968, 1998
These photos were taken looking up the hill just before the bridge shown in the first row of photos. In 1944, the barn was in very poor condition. Around 1950, the barn was completely renovated with new roof and siding (we will show other photos of the barn itself in a later "Then and Now" segment.) In the mid 1960's, the barn was "cut down" to be a garage, with white stucco over the stone. Later, the stucco was removed to reveal the field stone seen today. In the 1998 photo, a recently built home on Wells Road is visible at the right.
